Carpathian Forest is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1990. Carpathian Forest's live shows are notorious for their intense, provocative performances, and they are considered one of the influential bands in the Norwegian black metal scene. Their 1994 debut Black Shining Leather remains a landmark release in the genre.
